About Susan Schneider
For more than 20 years, I worked in executive corporate settings. During that time I found that co-workers and CEO's alike would seek me out to talk about their stories or their challenges. Some would ask me for my advice, while others just appreciated a discerning ear to listen to them.
All the while, this felt incredibly "natural" to me. I started to really value the time I spent having these conversations and feeling like I was truly helping these people. So I began to pursue a career change into a mental health career.
I am a "seasoned" professional, which means that I have experienced a rich and full life, and feel that I can truly walk with you down many paths and challenges. Some of my own personal paths that I have traveled include marriage, childbirth, parenting, death of a spouse, divorce resulting from an affair, post-abortion grief, single parenthood, blended family life, empty-nesting, relationship challenges, sexual intimacy and mis-matched libido concerns, career changes, family of origin issues, caregiving aged parents, pre- and post-menopausal transitions, and everything else in-between.
I am passionate about helping women enrich self esteem and promote their own positive sexual attitudes and beliefs! Empowering women by exploring and enhancing their physical and emotional intimacy and connection for themselves, as well as in relationships and family! I support you with the insight and skills needed to confront and overcome challenging issues and events that can present throughout a woman's lifespan.
“You need to claim the events of your life to make yourself yours. When you truly possess all you have been and done, which may take some time, you are fierce with reality.”
— Florida Scott Maxwell

When I’m not working with clients, I like to go on long walks with my dog, which usually makes me hungry, so I like to cook fabulous meals. I am also known for making out-of-this-world fudge brownies, as requested often by my own tribe, especially for holidays.
Also, aromatherapy is SO MUCH my thing! When I walk around the block, I will venture into people's yards to smell their flowers. In May, I take a trip to the midwest just to smell the beautiful, fresh lilacs! I have a CLOSET FULL of aromatic candles, each competing for "best smells" category, and I have more scented bath gels than you can possibly imagine. When the fruit trees in my backyard are budding with flowers, I can spend hours outside just soaking up all those wonderful scents from the citrus blooms. Delightful.
